Students at Lytton High School

Our school day is broken into four learning periods each day; periods are either 50 or 90 minutes in length. The timetable is:

  • Monday 8.30am until 3pm
  • Tuesday 8.30am until 3pm
  • Wednesday 8.30am until 2.25 pm
  • Thursday 8.30am until 3pm
  • Friday 8.50am until 2pm


Each student is in a house which is organised by a Dean. The Deans are also responsible for a specific year level. They are:

  • Whare Rata/Year 9 - Sally McLeod
  • Whare Makauri/Year 10 - Sue Te Puni
  • Whare Kowhai/Year 11 - Charlie Rohe
  • Whare Nikau/Year 12 - Hagan Logue
  • Whare Ponga/Year 13 - Heidi Rice
